Monsters in the Mansion Tier Lists & Rankings
Every Monsters in the Mansion tier list in one hub: survivor roles and perk-effect tiers ranked by real value to the cure loop — updated for Early Access.
Last updated:
Every Monsters in the Mansion tier list lives here, ranked the same way: by how much a choice moves the cure loop — the collect-books, brew-antidote, cure-the-Monster win condition — rather than by raw stats or kill counts.
Read this before any tier list
Monsters in the Mansion has no playable character classes in Early Access. Ubermonster Productions has not published a roster, classes, or a perk system yet — so these lists rank roles (the job you take in a squad) and perk effect categories, not official characters. Any site presenting named characters or named perks as fact is guessing; we explain what is confirmed and what is not on every page.
The two tier lists
1. Survivor Tier List
Ranks the four squad roles — Cure Carrier, Runner, Support and Decoy — by their impact on the cure loop. The headline: the player who applies the antidote wins the round, which makes the Cure Carrier the highest-impact, highest-risk job in the game, with Runners right behind because book collection is the bottleneck.
2. Perks Tier List
Ranks perk effect categories (sound-masking, crafting-proximity, speed/peel, revive) for both Survivors and the Monster. The early verdict: sound-masking is the Survivor meta, detection is the Monster's S-tier, and damage-style effects rank last because victory comes from curing, not fighting.
How these rankings were built
Both lists use the same three inputs:
- The confirmed win condition. Placement follows cure-loop value first — a choice that ends rounds outranks a choice that only feels good.
- Cross-checked community consensus. The role rankings match across the main community trackers for the game, which is meaningful agreement for a game this new.
- Published mechanics only. We do not rank what the developer has not shipped. When classes or perks go live, these pages re-rank the week the patch drops (watch the patch notes tracker).
Quick answers
Best role for beginners? Runner or Support. Both are useful without demanding perfect stealth play, and both teach you the mansion wing by wing. The carrier role is the win condition but the highest-pressure job — take it once you can break chases calmly (How to Survive is the prerequisite).
Best role in a public lobby? Whatever the lobby lacks — most random squads are short runners and a designated carrier, and over-stacked decoys end up feeding the Monster.
Best perk effect? Sound-masking for Survivors, detection for the Monster. The reasoning and full tiers are on the Perks Tier List.
